I've long had a love for snails. And after welcoming one into our family recently, I'm even more enamored with them! So it was a real treat to learn about this lovely book: Escargot (by D. Slater) illustrated by Sydney Hanson.
How cute is that face?? I mean, as a snail enthusiast I am certainly concerned that vinaigrettes are not actually safe snail food and I'm also distracted by his eyes being in the wrong place... but then I'm won over once again by just how cute that face is!
It's a charming book and the little snail is so expressive! It's a fun read and I recommend it! And the illustrations are really worth savoring throughout.
